Project description

The owner of a 38-hectare organic farm is undertaking a significant transition from cattle farming to arboriculture. The initial focus will be on a 9,500 m² plot designated for conversion into an orchard. This orchard will feature a variety of nitrogen-fixing trees, enhancing soil fertility and supporting sustainable crop growth. Harvested fruits will be available for self-picking from September to mid-November, allowing visitors a hands-on nature experience.

To shield the fruit trees from wind exposure, a windbreak hedge will be planted along the northern edge of the plot, creating a favorable microclimate. Additionally, a pollinator-friendly hedge will be established on the western side to attract and support pollinating insects, which are vital for fruit production.
