Wetlands
Trees, an essential link in sustainable water management
Wetlands are the cradle of great ecological wealth. They are an integral part of the water cycle. Yet, this ecosystem is one of the most threatened by human activities. MyTree works to restore wetlands by planting trees that are essential to their balance.
Trees, natural depollutants
Riparian forests (streamside hedgerows) planted in wetlands have the ability to eliminate pollutant particles from human activities. Working in synergy, microorganisms degrade the pollutant particles, while tree roots absorb and release these particles back into the environment, making them assimilable by plants for their proper development.

Trees at the heart of biodiversity
Between land and water, wetlands are ecotones - transitional zones between two ecosystems. Their ecological characteristics make them true biodiversity hotspots, suitable for hosting rare and specific species to this natural environment.
Trees, true water managers
At the dawn of a major water crisis, the sustainable management of this resource is more relevant than ever. Thanks to their ability to store water during floods, wetlands and their trees play an essential role in recharging groundwater and in catchment areas. This ecosystem serves as a barrier against floods and water shortages.
