Project description

The project is taking place on a 105-hectare organic farm located in the chalky Champagne region, where the agricultural plots are primarily dedicated to large-scale crops, without hedgerows. After already planting over 4,000 trees, three new double hedgerows will be planted along the borders of the plots.

The objectives are multiple: to reduce the impact of phytosanitary treatments on neighboring plots in order to protect the organic crops, to create ecological corridors to enhance biodiversity, and to subdivide certain plots to improve crop rotations. The project owner also plans to reintroduce sheep farming.
