Project description
A farm is implementing an innovative and diverse agricultural project in organic farming, combining vegetable cultivation and cereal production. The goal is to build a resilient agricultural system in the face of climate change while promoting biodiversity. To achieve this, several stretches of hedges will be planted, tailored to the specific conditions of each plot.
Intraplot alignments will be integrated within the vegetable fields, while hedges of varying heights will be positioned along the edges of the plots. This configuration aims to slow down prevailing winds and enhance the aesthetic quality of the landscape.
The establishment of these hedges has several purposes: protecting crops from severe weather, providing shade, and promoting biodiversity through ecological corridors. Additionally, planting willows in wet areas aims to enhance these spaces while supporting local crafts related to basketry. This project illustrates a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, benefiting both the environment and local communities.
